Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it.
Every month, we will feature a point of view on the anatomy, physiology or philosopy of yoga.
Leslie Kaminoff On Yoga & the Breath:
Student: "How is the relationship between the diaphragm and the breath relevant in a yoga class for me, as a student?"
Leslie: "Good question. I'd say that without that relationship, it's not actually a yoga class. It may be stretching or calisthenics, but what makes it yoga is the conscious integration of movement, mind and breath."

Hilary Glassman, BYB Yogi of the Month, March 2012
"I have not yet discovered what draws me day in and day out, but for now the practice is about doing something that makes me happy and feel great. I love the community and practicing with other like- minded yogis. I love the feeling of my heart pounding out of my chest. I love pushing myself to exhaustion. I love how every day is different and how this yoga seeps into my entire existence. I love how my love for my newfound passion grows every day. Finally, I love the heat! After all, I am a Florida girl!" BYB’s Hilary Glassman
Hilary is also completing BYB’s 60-day Challenge, and we are proud that Hilary will be representing BYB at Bikram Teacher Training this Fall in Los Angeles.
